Parallel Polyamory is when you and your partner(s) date separately, and you might not ever meet your metamours (partner’s partners). Kitchen Table Polyamory is when the entire polycule (your network of polyamorous relationships) knows each other, keeps in touch, and ideally maintains friendships with everyone involved. Either way can work really well, though I definitely recommend at least meeting all your metas once!
